Volleyball win Gold

The Westlake girls High School premier Volleyball team performed exceptionally well at the Auckland Secondary Schools Volleyball Champs held in early March. The team qualified top of their pool and went on to win their quarter and semi-final games to meet Aorere College in the final. Although it was a closely fought final,  Westlake won in the end 3 – 0. Tamara Otene (Year 13) was named as the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament and five Westlake students, Tamara Otene, Kaila Ru-Tearoiti, Emme Shearer, Juliette Vukets and Rachael Webster (all Year 13) were named in the tournament team selected from all across all the teams present at the tournament.
