The Westlake Girls 1st XI Hockey team won the Gold Medal at the Marie Fry Secondary Schools Hockey Tournament held at Lloyd Elsmore Park during the Secondary Schools Tournament week in early September. The Westlake Girls Premier Netball and Premier Basketball teams both qualified for entry into their respective New Zealand Secondary School championships (both of which will take place in late September) from their results in the qualifying tournaments they played during the Secondary Schools qualifying tournament week in early September. At the Upper North Island Secondary
