Korean Night sold out

Due to popular demand, tickets for our combined Westlake Girls and Boys School Korean Night tonight have sold out! Unfortunately there will be no door sales available. 

Thank you to everyone who has purchased tickets and is coming along to enjoy a fantastic night. Doors open at 6.15pm for a 7pm start. 

Important information for Tuesday 5 June

There will be some changes to the day arrangements and finish time for Tuesday 5 June. Under the Secondary Teachers Collective Agreement, teachers that are Post Primary Teachers Association (PPTA) union members are entitled to have two Paid Union Meetings (PUM) in a year if they need them.

Second Hand Uniform Shop open

Our Second Hand Uniform Shop will open again this Friday, 1 June.  All items have been returned from the dry cleaners and are in great condition.

The shop will be open during lunch time, in Meeting Room One in the Gernhoefer Admin Centre. Come to reception and you will be directed through.

You may be aware of the recent publicity around a second season of the Netflix series “13 Reasons Why”. This series was released worldwide at 7pm last Friday, 18 May.

The Series explores issues many young people face, such as suicide and suicide bereavement, sexual violence, drug-use, bullying, domestic violence and peer pressure.

Second Hand shop closed

Due to the fire in our hall this week, the Second Hand shop which is run by our Parents Forum will be closed until further notice.

No items were damaged, however they will be taken to the dry cleaners. We will keep you updated on the situation

Fire in school hall

On Wednesday 16 May we experienced a small fire in our school hall, caused by a faulty electric light in the ceiling. No one was in the hall at the time.

Westlake Girls will be starting later on Thursday 17 May to allow staff to meet in the morning to work on Professional Development projects for 2018.
