We’d love to see you at our Open Night on Tuesday 25 June. If your daughter will be starting or changing high school in 2020, then this information evening is your chance to find out why Westlake Girls High School is a great choice for your daughter’s education.
We have two sessions on 25 June – at 4pm and 6pm. Both are identical in structure and content, so just choose the time that best suits you.
Both sessions begin in Gym 3.
What will it involve?
The session will begin with a speech by our Principal, Jane Stanley. You’ll then hear from several Heads of Department about the huge array of elective subjects on offer. Some of our current students will share their experiences of life at Westlake, and you’ll then have the opportunity to tour the school to see our amazing facilities and stunning grounds. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions of the teachers dotted around classrooms, science labs, sports facilities, dance, drama and music studios, and tech rooms. You’ll see our library, sports grounds and Admin Centre.
We’ll give you a goodie bag to take home so you can further discuss Westlake with your daughter. And then we will look forward to seeing you at our combined in-zone and out-of-zone Enrolment Evenings on the following dates from 4-7pm:
Enrolment Night 1 – Tuesday 30 July (Surname A-J)
Enrolment Night 2 – Thursday 1 August (Surname K-Q)
Enrolment Night 3 – Monday 5 August (Surname R-Z)
Enrolment Night 4 – Wednesday 7 August (Catch-up)
Our Year 8 Entrance Testing and Orientation Day will be on Friday 15 November.
There is practically no parking available on our school site. For the 4pm session, local workers are still parked on the nearby streets but there is some parking available in Thornton Road, Brooke Street and Nile Road. Please give yourself plenty of time to find a park and make your way to the school.
For the 6pm session, there is a lot more parking in the local streets as many of the workers parking in these areas have left. However, this session is always very full so please leave yourself plenty of time to find a park to arrive for the Principal’s talk at 6pm.
Do I need to RSVP
No. Just come along on the night.
