The New Zealand Secondary Schools Calendar caters to students competing in Aerobics, Artistic Gymnastics, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Tumbling and Trampolining.
Westlake Girls has a proud history in rhythmic gymnastics and this year is no exception. Senior Rhythmic Gymnast Mary Malkova won the New Zealand Senior International Rhythmic Gymnastics title and represented New Zealand overseas along with Athena Li, another exceptional talent. There are several secondary school events that the students frequently attend, so if you are an avid gymnast, register for them below.

New Zealand Secondary Schools Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships – Saturday, 9-10 August – Auckland
New Zealand Secondary Schools Artistic Championship – TBC

There will be no classes for Year 9 and 10 students on this day, and these students should remain at home.
NZQA examinations for Year 11, 12, and 13 students will continue as scheduled on this day. Students sitting external exams must attend their exams as usual.
For students in Years 11–13 who are not sitting exams on this date, please note that staff will be participating in professional development and will not be available for revision support at school.
Also please note that the library will not be available for studying.
