REGISTRATIONS CLOSE: FRIDAY 30 JANUARY 2026
Westlake Girls has a strong history in Tennis which is played in Term 1 for seniors and Term 4 for the Juniors with Learn to Play Tennis Coaching sessions occurring across the year.
Tennis offers two Senior competitions in Term 1: Harbour League on Mondays after school starting 9 February and the Auckland League beginning on 14 February on Saturday mornings.
Teams travel to various venues each week as well as host schools at the impressive Westlake Girls covered courts. These teams are competitive and suited to confident tennis players.
2026 CALENDAR
TRIAL 1 – Wednesday 28 January 2026 – 8am – WGHS Covered Courts
Auckland Championships – 4 March 2026 – Scarbro Tennis Centre – Entries close 20 Feb.
Term 4 – Harbour Competition – Late October
Term 4 – Auckland Competition – Early November
LEARN TO PLAY Tennis begins Wednesday 4 February from 8am – 9am
FEES:
Season Fee – $50 (Tournament fees not included)
Learn to Play Tennis – Numbers dependent – TBC.
Tennis Dress – $80
UNIFORM
Students need to purchase a Tennis dress from the Sports Department and a Black Sports Pullover from the Uniform Shop.
Cost: Dress – $85.00. Ask for the hockey dress not the netball dress with velco.
