Volleyball is the second largest sport at Westlake Girls, and its popularity stems from the ease in which young students can learn the game and then develop confidently and quickly with it. And it is also an excellent summer sport for those who just want to have fun with their friends.
The Senior Volleyball season takes place in Term 1 and the Juniors – Year 9 & 10 – play in Term 4. There are two competitive leagues for students in both seasons; the Competitive Leagues (Super League and Auckland Premier League) and the Harbour Competition which is more fun and ideal for non-competitive students who are also interested in staying active.
SENIOR SOCIAL TEAM MUSTER
A meeting for non-competitive teams occurs in the first week of February. Please send the list of full names of your team (minimum eight players) to Sports Manager Kayla Allison-Carnie by Closes Wednesday 4 February.
The Juniors trials begin at the start of Term 3 with the competitive Junior leagues beginning in mid-September.
The Junior Muster for social teams is at the end of Term 3.

Wednesday 11-13 March – Auckland Secondary Schools Volleyball Championships – Bruce Pulman Arena, Takanini
Monday 23 – 27 March – New Zealand Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship – Palmerston North
