North Harbour Senior A Volleyball

Senior Volleyball at Westlake Girls operates in Term 1 with teams playing on Thursday nights in the North Harbour Competition at the Barfoot and Thompson  Stadium, Takapuna (aka Netball North Harbour Centre).

The cost for the six week competition is $40 per player and games are played on Thursday after school.  The 2019 competition will begin on Thursday 14 February 2019.

Seniors players are given preference in Term 1 with Juniors (Years 9 and 10) starting in Term 4. Special consideration will be made for Juniors invited to compete in Term 1.

A compulsory meeting will be held in Gym 1 on Tuesday 5 February 2019 at lunchtime - 12.30pm. This meeting will sort teams, organise training times and allocate uniforms.

Beach Volleyball

North Harbour Volleyball run a Secondary Schools Beach Volleyball league in Term 1 and 4 at the Mairangi Bay Beach Volleyball Centre.  This league is open to year levels 9 -13.

Dates: 6 x Mondays in a row 25 Feb to 1 April 2019
Time: 4-6pm
Format: Two-aside beach volleyball league – mixed teams are allowed
Age: Secondary School athletes from Year 9 up to Year 13.
Venue: Mairangi Bay Beach Volleyball Centre, 65 Maxwelton Drive, Mairangi Bay

Teams: Teams are made up of two players.  Students must make up their own teams i.e must find another player to play with.
Entries: Each player must register online and pay through the North Harbour Volleyball website:    Maximum number of teams is 27.  Entries will close when full. Register here
Cost:  $40 per person to be paid when entering online.
Uniforms: Sports attire of your choice.  Teams may want to sort matching shirts but this is not a requirement.
Equipment: No Equipment will be required.
Transport: Students are to make their own way to the centre. There is a bus that departs Westlake Girls and drops the girls at the Mairangi Bay village, which is only a short walk up the road.  BUS #83: Leaves at 3.23pm and 3.38 or 3.53pm from Stop B at Smales Farm to Maxwelton Drive (approx. 20 mins) then 3 min walk to the Beach Volleyball Centre.
