Westlake Girls has a high number of students playing badminton for the school both socially and competitively.  Seniors play in the North Harbour competition during Terms 2 and 3 as well as at the Auckland and New Zealand Championships.

• North Harbour Senior Competition – Term 2
• North Harbour Junior Competition – Term 3
• Girls competitive grade plays on Wednesdays.
• Girls social grade plays on Thursdays.
• Both above competitions cater for social and competitive grades
• Students also can enter the Auckland Secondary Schools Individual & Doubles in August

2026 TRIALS:

Senior Badminton Competitive trials will happen at the end of Term 1 – Students will be notified after registration.

Junior Badminton Competitive trials will happen at the end of Term 2 – Students will be notified after registration.

TRAINING:

UNIFORM:

Students will be issued a playing top. They will need to wear black, shorts or leggings on game day.
