Westlake Girls has enjoyed golfing success over the past five years but is rebuilding its golf team. If you are a handicap golfer, you can participate in the Auckland Secondary Schools Strokeplay Championships as an individual. This two-day event will take place on Monday, 24 March, and Wednesday, 26 March 2025. The New Zealand Secondary Schools Championship takes place in August.

If you are new to the game and would like to learn. Go to ‘Just Play’ in ‘All Year Sports 2025’ and sign up for Learn to Play Golf. The Auckland Ambrose Day is a fun option for Year 9 & Year 10 students who are new to the game – something to aim for in November.

LEARN TO PLAY A Learn to Play Golf Program with Pupuke Golf Club has helped to increase the number of golfers at Westlake Girls. The coaching sessions improve player skill sets and enthusiasm. The coaching sessions are conducted by the Club Pro and the cost is dependent on the number in the group. This year they are coming to WGHS to start lessons in Term 1.
