Following on from their success at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Tennis competition, Westlake’s tennis teams have just won two more titles. The Premier tennis team are now the Auckland Champion of Champions and they have retained the James Aitkenhead trophy for the 5th year in a row. Brooke Kenny (Year 12) is the Auckland Senior Girls singles champion, Elys Ventura ((Year 11) is the Auckland Intermediate Girls singles champion, Sadheera Weerapperuma was the runner-up to the Auckland Junior Girls singles champion, and Brooke Kenny and Paige Alter (Year 12) are the Auckland Senior Girls doubles champions. Just two days later Westlake’s Tennis Team 1 also won the Auckland Secondary Schools Premier A1 tennis title. That team consists of Brooke Kenny, Paige Alter, Amily Suga (Year 10), Gemma Cliffe (Year 12) and Makayla Jolly (Year 11).
