The library is a busy, vibrant hub within the school, which supports student learning and achievement by providing a wide range of material for research and recreational reading, as well as spaces to gather or to study. There are over 15,000 items including:
- Fiction
- Non-Fiction
- Magazines
- Graphic Novels
- Short Texts
- Quick Reads
- Study Guides
The library is open from 8-5pm, before and after school and during breaks. Students can also print, photocopy or scan material in black & white or colour, top up printing accounts and use the desktop computers.
The student librarian team assists with a range of duties, including helping students, issuing and returning books, shelving and getting material ready to borrow. There is an application process, with applications opening in term 4 for the following year’s team. These are highly sought after roles, with over 300 applications for the 2023 team. We also support research and inquiry, using hardcopy and online sources. Students and staff can access the EPIC databases which provide accurate information on a wide range of topics.
