International Starting Information Term 1, 2023

We are looking forward to welcoming our international students in Term 1 2023.

An Orientation Programme will be held on Tuesday Feb 14th .

Members of the International Team will meet new international students in the Events Centre Foyer at this time.  (This is accessed by the entrance on Wairau Rd.)

The following activities covered will include:

  • Welcome to Westlake Girls High School
  • Meeting the International Team and International Prefects
  • School Tour
  • Settling in New Zealand
  • The local area
  • New school experience and school expectations
  • Homestay Information
  • Timetables and subject confirmation

What students need to bring with them on this day

Students need to wear their school uniform for our Orientation days.

Students should bring their passport and a copy of their student visa.

Students should have a packed lunch, a drink, and some snacks for the morning tea break.

We look forward to meeting you at orientation day.

On Tuesday 6 June - Year 10 are rostered home and will not be taught or supervised at school.

On Thursday 8 June - Year 9 are rostered home and will not be taught or supervised at school.

Students should continue with their work on Google classroom. If you are unable to provide supervision at home, please contact their House Dean to arrange for supervision at school.
