The annual Model United Nations Assembly (MUNA) event took place in the last weekend of May. Schools are allocated countries they have to represent in the event as they debate topical world issues, produce remits and work with other countries to lobby causes. At this year’s event, Westlake was allocated Libya as their country and the Year 12 students in the team, Iliarne Watson, Izzy Hillman and Vic Nicoll, were awarded the runners-up prize for the Best Team Category.
