The Westlake Girls Stage Challenge group won eight awards at the Stage Challenge competition held at the ASB theatre in the Aotea Centre in early July. Students auditioned for parts in October last year and regular rehearsals has been held since that time. This excellent effort and commitment from the staff and students has been well rewarded as the group picked up eight awards for their performance. They gained 2nd place overall as well as individual awards for Excellence in Drama, Excellence in Choreography, Excellence in Performance Skill, Excellence in Visual Enhancement, Excellence in Costume and Character, Excellence in Soundtrack and Excellence in Environmental and Social awareness.
