The Westlake Girls High School Premier Volleyball team won the Gold Medal for 1st Place in the A Grade Division of the Auckland Secondary Schools Volleyball Championships held in mid-March. This is the second year in a row Westlake Girls has won this title. The team this year only lost one set throughout the 3-day tournament which is a fantastic achievement. Special congratulations go to Tamara Otene (Year 12), Rachael Webster (Year 12), Elizabeth Howard (Year 12) and Zara Pocock (Year 13) who were named in the tournament team. Zara was also named Most Valuable Player (MVP) from all the competitors taking part in the tournament.
