The Auckland Secondary Schools Athletics Championship took place in late March at the Mt Smart Athletics Stadium. Four Westlake Girls students had podium finishes with a total of 7 medals won, 6 of them Gold. The medal winners were: Anna Steven (Year 13) 3 Gold medals in the Para-athlete 100m, 200m and Long Jump; Sofia Lome (Year 11) Gold medal in the Intermediate Long Jump and a Bronze medal in the Intermediate 100mp; Grace Penberthy (Year 11) Gold medal in the Intermediate Shot Put and Holly Marshman (Year 10) Gold medal in the Junior Javelin.
