Seven medals at New Zealand Athletics Championships

Five Westlake students won medals at the New Zealand Secondary Schools Athletics Championships held in Dunedin in early December. Kaia Tupu-South (Year 11) won a Gold Medal (and is therefore the New Zealand Champion) in the Senior Girls Discus and also won a Silver Medal in the Senior Girls Shotput. Anna Steven (Year 13) won a Silver Medal in the Para Senior Girls 100m and a Silver Medal in the Para Senior Girls 200m. Sofia Lome (Year 11) won a Silver Medal in the Senior Girls Long Jump. Isabella Brown (Year 11 ) won a Silver Medal in the Senior Girls Polevault. Amayah Wingfield (Year 11) won a silver Medal in the Junior Girls Polevault.
