Summer Tournament updates

Here’s the latest from our Summer Tournament Teams:

PREMIER TENNIS (NZSS Tennis Championships)
Semi-final 6-0 win against Palmerston North Girls High School. The team will play St Kentigern College in the final today. 

 

PREMIER VOLLEYBALL (NZSS Volleyball Championships Division 1)

Wednesday (am)             3-0 win against Bethlehem College
Wednesday (pm)             3-0 win against Whakatane High School

Unbeaten and in the Division 1 Quarter-final against Auckland rivals Aorere College.

 

SENIOR A VOLLEYBALL (NZSS Volleyball Championships Division 3)

Wednesday (am)             1-3 loss against One Tree Hill College
Wednesday (pm)             3-2 win against Nelson College for Girls B

Will now play Waimea College Gold in the 9th-16th bracket of Division 3. There are a total of 6 Divisions at the tournament.

SENIOR SOFTBALL (NISS Division 2 Softball Championships)

Wednesday (am)             15-1 win against Bishop Viard College
Wednesday (pm)             6-7 loss against Hamilton Girls High School (after being drawn 5-5 at the end of the regular innings the team went into a tie-breaker)

 

CRICKET (Auckland 1A T20 Tournament)

Tuesday                                Win against Mt Roskill. Batted first and reached 165 for none with Brooke James on 71 and Ellie Blount on 68.
                                             Bowled them out on the last ball of the game for 116. With Olivia getting 3/18 after only starting to play cricket this season.

Wednesday (am)                 Win against Howick College. Leah Watton had bowling figures of 4/8 with Howick all out for 83, this was chased down easily by
                                            openers Ellie Blount and Brooke James (who hit two massive sixes).

Wednesday (pm)                 Loss against a very strong MAGS team in the final. The team received silver medals for 2nd in the 1A Grade.
