In early May, Volleyball New Zealand announced various teams for the upcoming season and 10 Westlake Girls High School students have made it into teams. It is an outstanding result to have so many students from one school in the representative teams.
The students are: Kaila Ru-Tearoiti and Tamara Otene (both Year 13) in the NZ Indoor Under-23 Women’s Team; Emme shearer (Year 13) in the NZ Indoor Under-19 Women’s Team; Elizabeth Howard, Juliette Vukets and Rachael Webster (all Year 13) in the NZ Indoor Junior Women’s Development Team; Juliette Vukets was also selected for the NZ Beach Junior Women’s Team; Holly Isherwood (Year 9), Domi Menoita (Year 11), Delphi Houlding (Year 10) and Rosie Larkin (Year 10) in the NZ Beach Youth Women’s (Under-17) Team.
