Two Westlake students win AIMES Awards

The AIMES (Arts, Innovation, Music, Education, Sport, Service to the Community) Awards are presented by the North Harbour Club and Charitable Trust annually in mid-November. They are awarded to outstanding young people in the North Harbour area, aged 10 to 25, who are achieving excellence in these sectors. Two Westlake students have received AIMES Awards this year.  Tayla Woolley (Year 13, pictured on the left) received the inaugural Ross Finlayson Award for Future Exceptional Leadership and ex-Westlake student Mae Everett (Year 13 2017) received the AIMES Emerging Talent Award for Service to the Community.

Wednesday March 29th - PPTA Industrial Action

The PPTA have advised that Wednesday March 29th has been scheduled as a second day for industrial action for secondary school teachers. With a number of staff away, we will be unable to open for instruction on Wednesday 29th March. We understand that this is short notice and appreciate the difficulties this will place on you. However, it is vital that we support our teachers in their claim to show the government how important they are to us.
