The school has a proud netball tradition with teams competing in the Auckland and North Harbour Competitions during Terms 2 and 3. Westlake Girls Netball caters for all levels from the competitive to the beginner player and is the school’s highest participation sport.

All students go through a trial and selection process where they are placed in appropriate teams and provided with equipment and training sessions at the schools covered and outdoor netball courts.

Senior, Year 10 and Year 9 Premier Teams represent the school at various one day tournaments throughout the season with the Premier Auckland team also attending the Upper North Island and National championship tournaments in Term 3.

Please register by completing the form in the Documents and Links section below.

All trials are held at Westlake Girls on the covered courts. All students are expected to attend all trials unless they have a summer sports clash, if that is the case please let Mrs Baker know which trial you are able to attend.

Please ensure you are dressed in appropriate clothing and footwear and are fully warmed up 10 minutes prior to the start of each trial. There may be a call-back trial for Year 9s and 10s. This list will be posted on the noticeboard in the Sports Department. Once all trials are finalised and fees have been paid the team lists will then be posted on the noticeboard in the Sports Department at the end of Term 1.

We give our Year 11-13 students the opportunity to form their own team if they wish rather than trialling and being placed in a team.  These teams play in the same competition as all other Senior graded players it is not a social competition.  You must register your Self Organised (SO) team with Mrs Baker by Friday 6 March prior to the Senior trials, every SO will be ranked to determine your Westlake team number for competition at NNH.
