Westlake Winners

Volleyball team are New Zealand Champions

The Westlake Girls High School Premier Volleyball team travelled to Palmerston North in mid-March to compete in the New Zealand Secondary Schools Volleyball Championships. The team did outstandingly well and ended up winning the New Zealand title. On its way to winning this title, the team did not lose a set to any other school throughout the entire tournament. Special congratulations go to Tamara Otene who was named “The Most Valuable Player” out of all the athletes at the Championships. Both she and Zara Pocock were named in the Tournament Team.  The full Westlake Girls Premier squad members were: Katie Sadlier (Year 13), Zara Pocock (Year 13), Sara McCarthy (Year 13), Elizabeth Howard (Year 12), Romy Olivier (Year 12), Tamara Otene (Year 12), Kaia Pola (Year 12), Emme Shearer (Year 12), Juliette Vukets (Year 12), Rachael Webster (Year 12), Emma Schulte (Year 11) and Jessica Moors (Year 11).
