This year marks the 125th anniversary of the New Zealand Women’s Suffrage Movement. To celebrate, the federation of Universality Graduate Women ran a competition where students from across New Zealand Secondary schools were asked to write a letter to Kate Sheppard who began this Movement in 1893.
Sarah Penny (Year 10) has just been announced as the winner of the competition. As well, Rosalie Dill (Year 10) got a Highly Commended Award.
