Bronze medal in ski champs

Sian Allan (Year 13) competed in the Giant Slalom event at the North Island Secondary Schools Ski Champs, held at the Whakapapa ski field in mid- September.  Postponements of the event in the first 2 days due poor weather meant that a longer than usual course of 23 gates was set for the 215 competitors in the senior men’s and women’s division. Sian had a fantastic race, in challenging conditions, to place 3rd out of the 106 senior women competing to win the Bronze Medal.
