The Westlake Girls Premier Touch team performed extremely well at the Auckland Secondary Schools Touch Championships held in mid-March. The went through the competition unbeaten. We came away with the Gold medal and Championship title after beating Auckland Girls Grammar School 7-1 in the final. The Westlake team scored 93 tries in the competition and only had 12 tries in total scored against them in the 12 games they played at the Tournament.
Charli Foster (Year 12), Briana Paea (Year 11) and Holly Williams (Year 10) have also been named in the New Zealand Under-16 Touch Team which will compete in the Australian National Youth Championships in September. Ellie Minton (Year 12) has been named as a triallist for the New Zealand Under-18 team.
