The combined Westlake High School production of Les Misérables, which was performed to sell out shows in July, won 6 Awards at the Auckland Live Showdown Awards for 2019. Schools from all across the Auckland area submit a video of their 2019 school production and the judges then select the best production in each category. The Westlake production of Les Mis won awards for Best Lighting, Best Sound Design, Best Musical Director, Auckland Live Awards for Best Production and iTicket People’s Choice Award.
