The 2021 School Swimming Sports will be held on Friday 19 February at the National Aquatic Centre, Antares Drive, Albany. Students can choose make their own way to the venue where you need to sign-in by 9.40am OR catch a bus from Westlake Girls High School (meeting in the courtyard next to the Payments Office). The events will commence at 10am and conclude at 2.15pm. Students must wear swimming togs, their house T-shirts and PE shorts. Students should also bring a towel and some warm clothing. They must also bring their lunch and a water bottle, as students will not be able to leave the venue for the duration of the event.
Students can enter in the “Championship” or “Non-Championship” events, please ensure you complete the correct registration form and students must indicate their preferred option of getting to the venue.
Championship Events
Students who are strong swimmers and/or are aiming to represent the school and compete at the North Harbour Zone and Auckland Secondary School Swimming Championships are required to enter the Schools Championship Events.
Please complete the appropriate registration form and tick the appropriate swimming events that you would like to enter (you must enter at least 3 competitive events to participate).

Non-Championship Events
Students attending the School Swimming Sports in the non-championship events are required to complete the appropriate registration form (you must take part in at least three House Events on the day to participate). These events include fun relays and Zumba in the pool, students will be required to take part on the day (no spectators allowed). You do not need to be a strong swimmer, but must be confident in the water and be able to swim and tread water.
All students must register online and pay the entry fee. Payment is the only way to confirm entry in the events and no late entries will be accepted.

Other Swimming Information
The North Harbour Secondary School Zone Swimming Meet take place at National Aquatic Centre, Antares Drive in Albany on Thursday 4 March 2021. This event is used as a qualifier for Auckland Secondary School Swimming Championships at West Wave Aquatic Centre, Henderson on Wednesday 14 March, 2021. The College Sport Inter-Collegiate Individual Swimming Championships are also held at West Wave Aquatic Centre on Sunday 27 June.
The 2021 NZSS Swimming Championships will be held at the National Aquatic Centre, Albany on Thursday 22 July – Sunday 25 July.
