E-STEAM Information Evening

When: Tuesday 13 August, 6.45 - 7.30pm

What: Westlake Girls High School will be holding an information evening for current Year 10 and 11 students (and parents) who are interested in an Enterprise-STEAM pathway for NCEA Level 1 or 2 next year. E-STEAM is an option that provides the opportunity for students to further develop 21st Century skills, including financial capabilities, business and entrepreneurship skills, while having an impact in their community.

Students will work collaboratively and use principles of design thinking/human centered design to develop innovative solutions for the community while developing finance capabilities in their personal life and in a business/enterprise context with the potential for students to create their own startup or social entreprise.  Projects align with UN Global Sustainability Goals and students will use the Future Problem Solving matrix to think big about solutions to complex real-world problems.
