Awesome news from the slopes today – Westlake Girls is the 2021 Auckland Secondary Schools Snowboarding Champions! Harriet Gowing was also named the Auckland Secondary Schools Giant Slalom Snowboarding Champion. The team were: Harriet Gowing, Coco Major, Jorgina Mackenzie, Meadow Major and Saffron-Frost Macky. The Ministry of Education is currently reviewing the rules around out-of-zone enrolments into schools. They are currently consulting around the priority given to out-of-zone applicants, and what could change is the priority given to out-of-zone daughters of WGHS Alumni.
